About
After eleven years confined in a Georgian village, Adelina flees to Vienna to build a new life and live openly as herself.
A Song Without Home follows Adelina, a young trans woman credited as Central Voice. After eleven years confined to her family home in a Georgian village, she flees to Vienna. There she tries to build a new life, pursue her aspirations as a dancer and live openly as herself. Rati Tsiteladze directs the documentary, which began with a cry for help that reached him in 2017. In Austria, Adelina has to fend for herself in a society described as indifferent and sometimes hostile. In Georgia she keeps in touch with no one except her mother; the film looks at their bond, Adelina's separation from her mother and the memories of past trauma that affect her new beginning.
