About
Ten-year-old Nicoleta, granddaughter of a Roma king, will marry young and live in a palace like her grandmother, mother and aunt.
Nicoleta is ten years old and the granddaughter of a Roma king. By the traditions of her family she is expected to marry at a young age and to live in a palace, as her grandmother, mother and aunt do. A life of glitter and gold awaits her there, with a gleaming car at the door and a husband who earns the family's income in the outside world. In the women around her, Nicoleta also sees a traditional existence shaped and limited by patriarchy.
