Between Revolutions is a documentary by Ruben Desiere. In Berlin, a varied coalition of campaigners opposes the violence in Gaza and the backing it receives from the German authorities. They are confronted with arrests, possible deportations and tight restrictions on demonstrations, and search for ways to sustain their campaign. In this situation they begin rehearsing a stage adaptation of The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions, a queer book from the 1970s. The film alternates between those rehearsals and the day-to-day reality of activism. Passages from the play on power structures, exclusion and solidarity are placed next to their protests and their talks with the press, which are sometimes sympathetic and sometimes confrontational. The cast includes Kasz Wlaszczyk, Nomi Sladko, Prudence Dippah-Dina, Seba Stolarczyk, Hala Al Shihabi, Thistle Kosmonin and Kamal Mahameed.
