Questions

Is free here really free?

Everything here is listed by its organiser as free or pay-what-you-like. Sometimes you have to sign up first, or the organiser asks for a donation (that is stated with the outing), so check the organiser's site before you go.

How do you choose the picks?

We put everything that is free in order of what makes it special: one-off or not, who plays, how well it fits the season. Where we can, a pick says why.

What is not included?

Online events, lectures, courses, weekly classes, church services and business meetings. And anything that is only free for members or with a pass.

When is there the most to do for free?

In summer, when there are free festivals on squares and in parks. In autumn and winter you mostly find free concerts and exhibitions indoors.
