Sinterklaas arrives by boat in the old harbours, the Wolwevershaven and the Kuipershaven, on Saturday 14 November 2026, at 12:00. The parade through the centre starts at 13:00.

The Christmas market, the Decembermarkt, runs around the Grote Kerk from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December. It is part of the Dordtse Decemberdagen, which run to 3 January with, between Christmas and New Year, a Winter Garden, a light art walk and boat trips.

The steam festival fills the old harbours with steam engines, steamboats and more. It is held every two years; the 2026 edition was at the end of May and the next one is on 19, 20 and 21 May 2028.
