Sinterklaas arrives
Sinterklaas sails into Delft on a steamboat. The boat is due at the Oostsingel around 12:45, the procession goes through the centre and the party on the Markt starts at 14:45.
Christmas markets
There is no one big Christmas market in Delft. The municipality lists a market at the Bikolaan on 12 December and one on the Markt on 19 December.
Lichtjesavond and Delft Verlicht
Delft's winter programme of lights, music and theatre in the centre. It opens with the Lichtjesavond on Tuesday 8 December.
Delft Fringe Festival
Twelve days of new theatre and dance by young makers in historic places across the centre. The festival opens at Theater De Veste.
Delft Jazz
A jazz festival in the historic centre, on squares, in cafés and in venues such as the Nieuwe Kerk and Theater De Veste. It has run since 1985.
Delft Chamber Music Festival
Chamber music with international players and young talent, at Theater De Veste.
