About

A documentary crew follows four vampire flatmates in Wellington whose routine is disrupted when their ancient housemate turns a young student into a vampire.

A documentary crew follows four vampire housemates who share a flat in Wellington: Viago (Taika Waititi), a 379-year-old dandy; Vladislav (Jemaine Clement), an 862-year-old former tyrant; Deacon (Jonny Brugh), a 19th-century former peddler and the group's young rebel; and Petyr (Ben Fransham), a reclusive ancient vampire. Each night Viago, Vladislav and Deacon take the bus into town to feed.

When Petyr turns Nick (Cori Gonzalez-Macuer), a young student, into a vampire, the housemates take him in and teach him the rules of undead life, while Nick introduces them to modern technology. Nick also brings along his human friend Stu (Stu Rutherford), which unsettles the vampires' household routine.
