About
In eighteenth-century Paris, Manon falls for the student Des Grieux while wealth and luxury pull her toward an impossible choice.
In the shadowy Paris of the eighteenth century, money governs everything and nothing is held sacred. Even love has a price. Manon grows up in this world of temptation. She falls in love with the student Des Grieux, who offers her a sincere and devoted life. The wealth and luxury of Parisian society, however, continue to attract her. Manon faces an impossible choice. This Royal Opera House ballet uses dance and rich theatrical imagery to bring the story to the stage.
