Hola Frida! is a Canadian-French animated family film directed by André Kadi and Karine Vézina. It follows Frida Kahlo as a child in Coyoacán, in Mexico City. Frida is a curious, brave girl with plenty of energy. She observes the world, discovers things and dreams. When difficulties come, she draws on fantasy and creativity. Emma Rodriguez voices the child Frida and Olivia Ruiz the adult Frida. In supporting roles, the voice cast includes Rebeca Gonzales, Léo Côté, Sophie Faucher, Manuel Tadros, Annie Girard and Joey Bélanger. The film tells of the childhood of the Mexican artist.
