FantasyFantasy

Three best friends in their early twenties meet Fantasy, a trans woman, and start to question their ideas about identity and desire.

Mihrije, Sina and Jasna are best friends in their early twenties. They try to live their lives on their own terms in a conservative Slovenian society.

Their friendship changes when they meet Fantasy, a trans woman. She brings them into contact with new ideas about desire, identity and self-expression. The three friends begin a search for who they are, which tests what they thought they knew about themselves and one another. Their relationships with each other change too. The film is based on Kukla's short film Sisters (2020).
