An inspector answers an anonymous call to a remote mountain hotel, where an avalanche cuts him off with a group of unusual guests.
After an anonymous call, Inspector Glebsky (Uldis Pūcītis) travels to the Dead Mountaineer's Hotel, a remote hotel in the mountains. When he arrives, the call turns out to be a false alarm, but he decides to spend the night there. The guests include Alex Snewahr (Jüri Järvet), Simonet (Lembit Peterson), Hinckus (Mikk Mikiver), Mr. and Mrs. Moses (Karlis Sebris and Irena Kriauzaitė), Luarvik (Sulev Luik) and Olaf (Tiit Härm).
