About this workshop

This is a 2.5-hour hands-on session where you cut, glue, fold and finish one lidded box from start to finish. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

You start with a short introduction to the vintage paper collection and how to combine different prints. You then learn box-folding and invisible-seam techniques for an IKEA mini chest, fit the lid and add a vintage-label finish.

Each workshop uses a curated selection of vintage papers, and you choose your favourite design at the table. The host is a long-time paper collector and box maker who has sourced vintage prints from Italian paper mills and flea markets for more than a decade.

The workshop is open to complete beginners and experienced crafters, and it is taught in English.

The workshop is at Bibliotheek Benoordenhout, Wassenaarseweg 220, 2596 EC Den Haag, on Thursday 3 December 2026 from 12:30 to 15:00.

The library is on the ANWB premises, on the ground floor of the Rotonde building.

Parking is free of charge, but spaces are limited.
