How many people fit in Theater vanBeresteyn?
- Theatre seats
- 350
- Dinner setting
- About 100
- With foyer
- About 400
Up to 350 people sit in the Nedmagzaal, the main theatre hall, in its standard tribune layout. When the tribune is removed for a dinner setting, the hall holds about 100 at tables. With the partition walls to the foyer open, the combined space takes about 400 visitors.
That makes vanBeresteyn a mid-sized regional theatre. Theater Geert Teis in Stadskanaal seats 628 and De Kimme in Zuidlaren 450, so both are larger than the Nedmagzaal.

After a 22:45 show, walk the 12 minutes to Veendam station and check the live timetable for a departure after the show on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night towards Groningen. Night bus 471 is the late bus option; its last Saturday-night departure is around 02:25. If no suitable service is running, book a taxi or arrange a lift.
