How many people fit in Theater ’t Mozaïek?
The theatre hall seats 300 people on its tribune and takes up to 330 seated; the same room holds 120 for dinner and 100 in theatre-café setup.
The tribune is the usual theatre and concert setup. For other events the room is rearranged: 15 dinner tables of 8 (120 people), 15 terrace tables of 6 (90 people) or a theatre café with 100 people.
The dance studio holds at most 30 people. For comparison, Schouwburg Cuijk seats 660 and Sportcentrum Arcus, the sports centre next door, holds 700.

Seating at Theater ’t Mozaïek: tribune rows and wheelchair places
Most shows use the fixed tribune, where rows 1 to 3 are on the level floor and the first two rows make room for wheelchair places; a few shows have free seating instead.
Wheelchair places
Rows 1-3, booked through the box office
Free seating
Some shows, no seat plan
Standing concerts
Flat floor, limited seats
In the standard tribune setup you sit in numbered seats bought on a seat map. Rows 1, 2 and 3 are reached without stairs and hold the wheelchair and disabled places. To make room for a wheelchair the venue removes two seats from one of the first two rows, which is why those places are booked by phone or email rather than online.
Some performances are sold with free seating and no fixed hall plan, so a particular seat cannot be reserved; Sjon & Sjakkelien is one example. At a theatre-café show you sit at tables in the hall and may take a drink to your seat. At a MuziekCafé concert the tribune is replaced by a flat floor and only a limited number of seats are available, with no seat reservation.
The venue publishes no seat-by-seat view guide and no information about sight lines, legroom, a balcony or which seats are best. Seat choice therefore comes down to the seats available on the seat map and your own preference; the FAQ advises contacting the box office if you are unsure whether a particular seat is suitable.
Food and drink at Theater ’t Mozaïek
The bar opens before and after the show, an interval drink is included at most performances, and the Lunchcafé serves lunch on weekdays from 11:00 to 14:00.
Drinks and snacks are ordered at the bar with consumption tokens, bought from two machines in the foyer that take PIN only; on show nights tokens are the only way to pay. The bar is open before and after the performance.
At most performances an interval drink (soft drink, wine or beer) is included and printed on the ticket. Pub quizzes, pop quizzes, Moordmysterie, standing concerts, regional events, National Theatre Weekend shows and castle performances are exceptions. Children get free ranja at family shows.
You may not bring your own food and drink into the theatre or foyer. With the tribune setup no drinks go into the hall; in the theatre-café setup you can take a bar drink to your table, and the MuziekCafé has a bar in the hall.
The Lunchcafé in the Huiskamer serves lunch Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 14:00 and is closed during the summer and Christmas holidays.
- Tokens stay valid at later performances, so leftover coins are not lost.
- Pin only: the token machines do not take cash.

Cloakroom, bags and house rules
The cloakroom is supervised and compulsory for fire safety, and the house rules ask you to switch your phone off, leave filming to the professionals and keep your own food and drink out of the theatre.
Coats must go to the cloakroom, which is staffed during the performance. Buggies and pushchairs cannot enter the hall, not even at family shows, and every visitor from 0 needs a ticket.
Filming and photography are not allowed unless the venue says otherwise. Phones must be off or on airplane mode, because signals disturb the sound equipment.
Latecomers are not always admitted once the show has started; the artist decides. If there is an interval, you can join for the second half.
- Cloakroom: compulsory, supervised during the show.
- Film and photography: not allowed unless announced.
- Own food and drink: not allowed in the theatre or foyer.
- Buggies: not allowed in the hall, also not at family shows.
Accessibility at Theater ’t Mozaïek
Wheelchair places are booked through the box office, rows 1 to 3 are step-free, and the theatre has a stairlift, an accessible toilet and a wheelchair on site.
The theatre hall itself is reached by stairs, with a stairlift for wheelchair users, people with a walker or anyone who cannot manage the stairs. Staff operate it, and it is not suitable for mobility scooters.
Rows 1 to 3 are on the level floor and hold the wheelchair and disabled places. A wheelchair place is booked by phone or email, not online, because the venue has to remove seats by hand. A wheelchair is available at the theatre and staff can help; the accessible toilet is on the ground floor next to the hall.
Guide dogs are welcome in the hall if you tell the box office in advance. After the tribune renovation the hearing loop was removed; the venue is looking at a replacement and asks visitors to contact the box office for support. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower cards and lanyards are free at reception.

Getting to Theater ’t Mozaïek: bus, train and bike
The Mozaïek bus stop is 90 m from the entrance, and Wijchen station is a 20-minute walk (1.5 km); from the station you can also take the bus or a shared bike.
The theatre sits on the Campus in Wijchen, just south of the centre. By car, navigate to Campuslaan 6; if your navigation does not know the address, enter the Oosterweg/St. Jorispad junction or follow the white Campus signs.
From Wijchen station the walk takes about 20 minutes. The Mozaïek stop, 90 m from the door, is served by buses 563, 565 and 568; buses 15, 561, 563, 565 and 568 also stop at Meerdreef/Oosterweg (5 min) and De Meerval (8 min). Shared bikes are available at the station, and there are bike racks at the entrance.
The venue’s own FAQ still names bus line 65 at the Mozaïek stop, while the October 2026 open data used for this table lists 563, 565 and 568. Both are shown: the table gives line 65 as named by the venue and the current open-data numbers beside it, so check the stop display or the Breng app on the day.
Evening shows end around 22:15, in time for the last direct train from Wijchen to Nijmegen at 23:01, which arrives at 23:13. If you stay later, that train has gone; book a taxi before the show or arrange a lift, and check the NS planner for other directions. The station is a 20-minute walk, so leave the theatre by about 22:35 for the 23:01.
Parking at Theater ’t Mozaïek: free on the Campus
Parking at the theatre is free, with disabled bays on the general car park and two extra places at the entrance; the nearest public car park, Dorsvlegel, is a 17-minute walk.
Drive to Campuslaan 6 and use the theatre’s own car park; the venue says parking is free. There are disabled spaces on the general car park and two more right at the entrance.
If the theatre car park is full, the free Dorsvlegel car park is 1.2 km away, about 17 minutes on foot. The Kasteeltuin car park at Kasteellaan 9, by Museum Kasteel Wijchen, is 1.4 km away, about 20 minutes, and is also free; so there are two free options within a 20-minute walk.

What Theater ’t Mozaïek is
Theater ’t Mozaïek is the theatre of Wijchen: a 300-seat tribune hall inside a social and cultural centre on the Campuslaan, with free parking and a bus stop 90 m from the door.
The theatre is part of Stichting ’t Mozaïek, a social, cultural and educational centre that houses several local organisations. Besides the theatre hall the building has a Huiskamer (foyer), the Lunchcafé and a dance studio, and the halls are also let to companies and associations for presentations and events.
The programme mixes professional and amateur theatre, cabaret, music and family shows. Most performances use the theatre hall with its tribune; some move to a theatre-café setup with tables or a MuziekCafé setup with a flat floor and a bar in the hall.
The address is Campuslaan 6, 6602 HX Wijchen. The box office can be reached on (024) 645 04 55 and [email protected].
Theater ’t Mozaïek is not Podium Mozaïek in Amsterdam: this is a smaller house in Wijchen with its own programme and ticket shop.
