- 600 seats
- Speedbooks Salon
- Up to 60

Up to 600 people fit in the Tüöttenzaal, the theatre's main auditorium. All 600 places are seats. The room has a fully equipped stage and an orchestra pit that can also serve as an extension of the stage.
The theatre also has the Speedbooks Salon, a smaller room for up to 60 people used for lectures and workshops. The Tüöttenzaal is the room for the main programme: cabaret, music, dance, musicals and family shows.
For scale, De Harmonie in Leeuwarden seats 1,000 in its Grote Zaal, and Posthuis Theater in Heerenveen has 571 seats across three halls. Theater Sneek is a mid-sized Frisian theatre: smaller than De Harmonie, and slightly larger than the Posthuis's total of 571 seats.

Seating plan for the Tüöttenzaal: stalls, balcony and hearing loop

Two-person loveseats
Hearing loop
All seats except row 5 and the balcony
The Tüöttenzaal has 600 seats on two levels: a stalls floor at ground level and a balcony above it. The balcony gives an overview of the stage; the stalls put you closer to the performers. On the balcony are two-person loveseats, which the theatre recommends for a romantic touch.
The official seating plan is a one-page PDF: https://theatersneek.nl/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/2010_Theater-Sneek-plattegrond_Tuottenzaal-stoelen.pdf. It shows the stalls and balcony with row and seat numbers, so you can find your row before you book. It is a drawing, not an interactive map; for a wheelchair place, book through the box office.
For the hearing loop, almost every seat in the hall is connected. Row 5 and all balcony seats are the exceptions. On the balcony you can ask the hall steward for an individual device with headphones and instructions, and return them to the cloakroom afterwards.
If you use a hearing aid or cochlear implant with a telecoil, choose a seat outside row 5 and the balcony for the loop, or book a balcony seat and use the individual device. Wheelchair places are booked through the box office.
Eating and drinking at Theater Sneek
The foyer bar is open before the performance, during the interval and after the show. You cannot bring your own food or drink into the theatre; drinks are sold at the bar.
The foyer is where the evening begins and ends: a drink before the show and a chat afterwards. For a meal before the show, the centre of Sneek is within walking distance of the Westersingel entrance.
- The foyer is the place for a drink before the performance and during the interval.
- Coats and large bags go to the cloakroom, so you can sit comfortably with a drink.

Your visit: doors, cloakroom, late arrival and house rules

If you arrive late, entry depends on how far the performance has got and on the instructions of the company. Staff will guide you in if you can still enter. Photography, video and audio recording are not allowed during the performance.

History of Theater Sneek
The current theatre opened in 2012 in a new building on the site of the former post office, designed by Alberts en Van Huut. It succeeded the Amicitia Theater, which had closed earlier, and is now part of Poort, the organisation that also runs Bolwerk, Atrium and the Noorderkerk.
The building's 23-metre stage tower makes it a landmark on the Westersingel. Inside, the Tüöttenzaal seats 600, the foyer with its bar is where the evening begins and ends, and the balcony has two-person loveseats.
