Seats and hall plans
The Grote Zaal (700 seats) has a floor that rises in one smooth line from the front to the back, and the Kleine Zaal (280 seats) is smaller and more intimate.
The Grote Zaal was renewed in the summer of 2013: the floor rises with enough legroom, the climate control and acoustics were improved and the seats were replaced. The Kleine Zaal has a flat floor and a retractable stand with 280 comfortable seats; with the seats folded away and the stand pushed in, the room is an empty floor of 16 by 20 metres.
The theatre gives no advice on the best seats. Its Zaalplattegronden page has a seat plan for each hall, which shows the layout before you choose your seats online, and 360-degree views of the Grote Zaal, the Kleine Zaal, both foyers and the building.
- Grote Zaal: 700 seats, rising floor, with 6 wheelchair places per show.
- Kleine Zaal: 280 seats on a retractable stand, with 2 wheelchair places.
- Wheelchair places cannot be ordered online: call the box office on 072 548 99 99.

Accessibility at Theater De Vest
The theatre says it works to make its buildings accessible to everyone. The main entrance has a door for wheelchairs, the building has no thresholds that block a visit, and the ground floor has an adapted toilet.
- Wheelchair places: 6 in the Grote Zaal and 2 in the Kleine Zaal per show. Book them by phone on 072 548 99 99.
- Hard of hearing: receivers, with or without headphones, can be borrowed at the reception before a show.
- Visual impairment: at selected shows an audio describer (blindentolk) is present, so the show is easy to follow without seeing it. The steps in the halls are marked and the stairs have handrails.
- Mobility scooters (scootmobielen) are not allowed for safety reasons. A loan wheelchair is available for the trip to the halls, and staff help you transfer if you like.
- Guide dogs: tell the venue in advance so you get a suitable place.
Leaving the hall, earplugs and the upper foyer
- You may leave the hall at any time if you need to; staff help you back in.
- Free earplugs are offered: ask for them at the front desk (balie).
- Before, after or during the interval, the upper foyer is often quieter, and it has toilets.
