Three arrangements can be booked with a ticket. The VIP Arrangement costs €15.50 per person and adds coffee or tea with a treat, the interval drink, a naborrel with one drink and bitterballen, a free attended cloakroom and a reserved table. The cloakroom is compulsory at performances for fire-safety reasons, so plan a little time at the door. At other times you can hang your coat in the unattended cloakroom at no cost.
Photography, filming and audio recording during films and performances are not allowed. For press or promotional images, contact the marketing department in advance.
Children under 1 are admitted free; from 1 year they need their own ticket. Seat boosters are available at the hall entrance in limited numbers, and a child who disturbs the performance may be asked to leave without a refund.

The Grote Zaal can be entered from the ground floor. The Kleine Zaal is on the first floor and is reached by lift; from the lift, allow about 70 metres through the foyer to the hall entrance. The lift is 108 cm wide and 208 cm deep, with a 90 cm door, and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor next to the lift.
Wheelchair spaces and the places on row 8 for visitors who cannot walk far can only be reserved by phone, email or at the box office. A companion needs their own ticket.
A hearing loop is available, and the Sennheiser MobileConnect app sends the sound to your own phone and earphones. An official assistance dog is welcome if it wears a vest. Getting to Cultuurhuis De Klinker: train, bus and walking times
The venue is a 17-minute walk (1,260 m) from Winschoten station. Bus 13, 17 or 119 stops at Oldambtplein, 2 minutes from the door.
From Groningen, stopping trains run to Winschoten. From the station, bus 13, 17 or 119 continues to Oldambtplein; the walk from the station itself takes about 15 to 17 minutes.
By car, leave the A7 at exit 47 and follow the N367 towards Winschoten. At the roundabouts follow the signs to the centre; after about 1 km the building is on your right at the large roundabout. Take the first exit, then turn right after 100 metres for the car park.
Many evening theatre performances at De Klinker end around 22:15, though the end time varies by event. In the event pages we checked, theatre shows ended between 21:35 and 22:35, while films can run later. The current timetable shows the last train from Winschoten to Groningen at 01:14; that is later than the typical end times above, but it is not a guarantee for every event, so check the current timetable on arriva.nl before you travel.
Parking at De Klinker: free next to the venue
Parking is free in the large car park directly next to Cultuurhuis De Klinker. The 't Rond garage is a 9-minute walk away and is also free, but it closes at 18:15 on most days and 21:15 on Friday, so it is not an option after an evening show.
Drivers with a disabled parking card have reserved spaces immediately after the roundabout on the right. There are about 300 parking spaces around the venue.
On Friday evenings Winschoten has late-night shopping, so parking in the centre can be busier; the car park next to the venue is the easiest choice.
For an evening show, use the free car park next to the venue. The 't Rond garage is only open during the day: Monday to Thursday and Saturday to Sunday 06:00-18:15, Friday 06:00-21:15.

The history of Cultuurhuis De Klinker
De Klinker opened in 1973 and moved into its current building in 2015: a culture house with theatre, cinema, library and arts centre under one roof.
For 35 years the original De Klinker was a household name in Winschoten and the wider Oldambt region. The old building closed and was destroyed by fire shortly before demolition, and in 2012 work began on a new cultural centre on the same spot.
Princess Margriet opened the original De Klinker in 1973. The new building was completed in December 2014, and Bert Visscher gave the first performance in it on 5 March 2015.
Today the programme ranges from touring theatre, cabaret and music to films, children's shows and arts courses, and the building is also used for conferences and meetings.
