How many people fit in C.C. Cascade?
The theatre hall seats 262 on its retractable tribune and takes up to 275 in theatre set-up; the building's eleven rooms range from 40 to 255 m².
The theatre hall is the largest room at 255 m². Its retractable tribune holds 262, and without the tribune the room takes up to 300 for a reception, 200 for a dinner or 70 in a U-shape. For a performance the normal set-up is 275, so the published seat count is the safer number for a sold-out show.
The other rooms are the Atelier (50 m²), the Ambachtzaal Petit (60-65 m²), Medium (124 m²) and Grande (189 m²), the Idozaal and Sandelingenzaal (40 m² each), the Oostendamzaal Petit (82-90 m²) and Medium (172 m²), the Balletzaal (70 m²) and the Hendrikzaal (88 m²). Cascade does not publish a whole-building total, so capacities are per room.

Seating in the theatre hall: 262 places on a retractable tribune
The theatre hall is a flat-floor theatre with a retractable 262-seat tribune, and the front row is kept for wheelchair users and visitors who cannot manage steps.
Cascade sells most performances with a seat map: you choose your own places in the online checkout. The tribune holds 262 and is pushed in for standing, dinner or reception layouts, so the number of seats depends on the set-up the show uses.
- Choose your own seat in the online checkout; the seat map opens with the show.
- The front row has reserved places for wheelchair or scooter users and people who have difficulty walking.
- On several front-row seats the seat cushion can be removed so a wheelchair fits between the row, not in front of it.
- Visitors who are partially sighted or hard of hearing can ask for a place in the front row or the rows behind it; call 078 681 9230 to arrange it.
- The hall opens 15 minutes before the start; after the start, entry is usually closed until an interval.

Accessibility at C.C. Cascade: lifts and reserved front-row places
Cascade holds the 2026 'Toegankelijke Locatie' certificate; the building has lifts and accessible toilets on both floors, and keeps front-row places for wheelchair users.
- Buses 92 and 488 stop 50 m from the entrance by the venue's measure (OpenStreetMap measures about 100 m), with a tactile guide line to the front door.

- The lift announces the floor and has a large mirror to help wheelchair and scooter users reverse out safely.
- There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor and on the first floor.

About C.C. Cascade: the house of Ambacht
C.C. Cascade is Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht's cultural centre on the Hoge Kade: a theatre hall, a public library, a café and eleven rooms for meetings, parties and performances.
The building opened in 1997 and has grown into the town's shared living room. After a year of renovation it reopened in June 2026, and the venue calls itself 'het hart van Ambacht' (the heart of Ambacht). Its eleven rooms run from the 40 m² Idozaal to the 255 m² theatre hall, and the building also houses Bibliotheek AanZet and the Cascade Café.
The theatre programmes cabaret, theatre, music, film and family shows, alongside language cafés, reading afternoons and quizzes. The buildings are owned by the municipality of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht.
