The Polman family goes on an old-fashioned family weekend on the Veluwe. Evert hopes to get closer to his children Hannah and Pieter despite his divorce from Marjan. Marjan brings her new partner Jan Dirk, a hyperenthusiastic lifecoach and sauna master who wants to become part of the family. Discussions cover family history, pension, parenthood, career, the environment, private care homes and the future. Between sjoelen, strict house rules and sauna pour sessions in the Finnish Löyly, tensions rise.
