Cleopatra

About

What to expect

Cleopatra, queen of Egypt, is at the height of her power.

Her love affair with Roman general Marcus Antonius seals an alliance with Rome, but political unrest in Rome sharpens the tensions when Antonius is called back home.

The performance is a playful, dynamic adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Antonius en Cleopatra', described as humorous, musical and tragic, about passion and leadership.

Shakespeare's rich language is given a modern look with a glitter hat.
