About
Eight-year-old Winky cares for Sinterklaas's horse Amerigo but is forbidden to ride him; one day she secretly rides him.
Eight-year-old Winky Wong (Ebbie Tam) lives in the Netherlands with her father (Aaron Wan) and mother (Hanyi Han), who run a Chinese restaurant. She is allowed to look after Amerigo, Sinterklaas's horse, at the equestrian facility of Tante Cor (Betty Schuurman) and Oom Siem (Jan Decleir). Winky is not allowed to ride Amerigo because of her size.
On her birthday, Cor gives her riding lessons on a pony named Naf-Naf, while Winky had hoped to ride Amerigo. At school she befriends Bram, who is fascinated by Indian culture. When she finds Cor and Siem away from the facility, Winky secretly takes Amerigo out for a ride.
