About
A documentary about the International Criminal Court, following its first prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo and Benjamin Ferencz as they confront war crimes.
War and Justice is a documentary about the International Criminal Court and its work on war crimes. It follows Luis Moreno Ocampo, the ICC's first prosecutor, and Benjamin Ferencz as they focus on wars in Congo, Libya, Palestine and Ukraine. Ocampo also seeks Angelina Jolie's support. Karim Khan, the court's current prosecutor, appears alongside Fatou Bensouda and Joanna Fribet, all as themselves.
The film looks back at the ICC's 25-year history and asks whether war crimes can be prevented at all. It also examines the court's limits: China, Russia, India and the United States are among the countries that do not recognise the ICC as a court with global jurisdiction.
