In a Detroit suburb, a group of boys become obsessed with five sisters sheltered by their strict parents.
A group of boys in a Detroit suburb become obsessed with the five Lisbon sisters, who live under the strict, religious rules of their parents. The sisters are Cecilia (Hanna Hall), Lux (Kirsten Dunst), Mary (A.J. Cook), Therese (Leslie Hayman) and Bonnie. Their father, a maths teacher, is played by James Woods, and their mother by Kathleen Turner. Josh Hartnett appears as Trip Fontaine. As grown men, the boys look back at the sisters and the hold they had on the neighbourhood. The film is Sofia Coppola’s adaptation of Jeffrey Eugenides’s novel.
