About
A U.S. Secret Service agent vows to bring down a Los Angeles counterfeiter after his partner is killed.
After foiling an assassination attempt on President Reagan, U.S. Secret Service agents Richard Chance (William Petersen) and Jimmy Hart are assigned to counterfeiting investigations in Los Angeles. Days before his retirement, Hart is killed while staking out a desert warehouse used by artist-turned-counterfeiter Rick Masters (Willem Dafoe). Chance, who has a reputation for impulsive behaviour, vows to his new partner, John Vukovich (John Pankow), that he will take Masters down by any means necessary. The agents begin looking for Masters’s courier, Carl Cody (John Turturro).
