About
In a small Vermont village, several residents fear they caused the death of Harry Worp and wonder what to do with his body.
The Trouble with Harry is set in a small Vermont village on a sunny autumn day. A body lies on a hillside: Harry Worp, identified from a letter found with him. Several residents come across him separately and each fears a hand in his death.
Retired sea captain Albert Wiles (Edmund Gwenn), out hunting rabbits, is convinced a stray shot from his rifle killed the man. Miss Gravely (Mildred Natwick) thinks a blow from her shoe may have done it, while Jennifer Rogers (Shirley MacLaine), Harry's estranged wife, believes she struck him with a milk bottle. John Forsythe plays Sam Marlowe. The villagers wonder what should be done with the body.
