About
A home help who steals small sums from elderly clients to pay for piano lessons faces an accusation of abuse and police custody.
Maria, who is no longer young, works as a home help for people older than herself and has trouble making ends meet. She dreams of her grandson becoming a great pianist, and to pay for his piano lessons she steals small sums from the clients she looks after with devotion and who adore her. Then a complaint is filed against her for abuse of a vulnerable person, and she is taken into police custody. Ariane Ascaride plays Maria; the cast also includes Jean-Pierre Darroussin as M. Moreau, Gérard Meylan as Bruno, Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet as Laurent, Marilou Aussilloux as Jennifer, Lola Naymark as Audrey, Robinson Stévenin as Kévin and Thorvald Sondergaard as Nicolas.
