About
A documentary about a nomadic Berber tribe in central Morocco whose way of life is threatened when a vast solar park rises in the desert.
The Price of the Sun is a documentary by Jérôme Le Maire, filmed over a period of six years in a desert in central Morocco. It follows a small nomadic Berber tribe that has grazed its sheep in this arid area since time immemorial, on land that is regarded as common property.
A vast solar park is being built in the desert, gradually transforming the landscape, and the tribe is forced to abandon its centuries-old way of life. A sheep herder says that they are being driven away and that their herds are threatened.
