About
As the world falls apart, a small-town teacher and his ex-wife wonder about accountant Chuck Krantz, whose face appears on billboards everywhere.
The Life of Chuck is based on a Stephen King novella and directed by Mike Flanagan. The world is facing catastrophe: floods, extinctions and epidemics have struck, California is sinking into the sea, and the internet has collapsed. In an American small town, middle-school teacher Marty Anderson (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and his ex-wife Felicia Gordon (Karen Gillan), a nurse, try to make sense of the mounting disasters. Everywhere, billboards and advertisements show the face of accountant Charles "Chuck" Krantz (Tom Hiddleston), with the words "Charles Krantz: 39 Great Years! Thanks, Chuck!" The film follows the formative moments of Chuck's life in reverse chronological order, with Benjamin Pajak also playing Charles "Chuck" Krantz.
