About
Forty camera operators and three hundred citizens film one night across Ukraine for Olga Chernykh's documentary portrait of a society at war.
On the night of 27 to 28 July 2025, forty professional camera operators and three hundred citizens filmed life across more than sixty locations in Ukraine for this documentary by Olga Chernykh. The film has no dialogue and moves between scenes from that one night. In a field hospital, a wounded soldier is carried inside. In the countryside, the grain harvest continues. In Kyiv, air-raid sirens sound and residents go to a metro station for shelter. Elsewhere, visitors let loose in a nightclub. The locations include occupied territory and the front. The result is a portrait of a society at war, shown through moments of fear and exhaustion as well as ordinary daily life and joy.
