About
A bookseller who delivers books to loyal customers is drawn out of his isolation when a nine-year-old girl joins his rounds.
Carl Kollhoff (Christoph Maria Herbst) works in a bookshop in a small town. Every day he wraps books with great care and delivers them on foot to a handful of loyal customers. He knows their tastes, chooses books to suit them and gives them literary names. For the quiet older man, books are his main contact with the outside world. One day the nine-year-old Schascha (Yuna Bennett) joins him on his rounds. She gives him the name Buchspazierer and soon wins the hearts of his regular customers. Little by little, she draws Carl out of his isolated world.
