About
Andy Sachs returns to Runway to help Miranda Priestly in a changed media world, while Emily Charlton is now a luxury-group executive.
Two decades after The Devil Wears Prada, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is a respected global journalist in New York. Her newsroom is suddenly laid off during an awards ceremony. At Runway, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) is trying to keep the magazine standing in a changed media world, while criticism over a Runway piece on a clothing label connected to sweatshop labour adds to the pressure. Irv Ravitz, who runs Runway’s parent company Elias-Clarke, brings Andy back as features editor without Miranda’s knowledge. Miranda also reconnects with former assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), now a senior executive at a luxury group whose advertising money matters to Runway. Stanley Tucci returns as Nigel.
