About
During the War in Abkhazia, Estonian carpenter Ivo takes in two wounded fighters from opposing sides.
Set during the 1992–1993 War in Abkhazia, the film follows Ivo (Lembit Ulfsak), a carpenter in a rural Estonian village. Most of the community has left for Estonia, but Ivo and his friend Margus (Elmo Nüganen) remain. Margus is waiting to bring in his tangerine harvest, while Ivo makes wooden crates for the unpicked fruit. When fighting reaches the area around Margus’s house, two badly wounded men are left behind: Ahmed (Giorgi Nakashidze), a Chechen fighting with the Abkhaz separatists, and Nika (Misha Meskhi), a Georgian volunteer. Ivo takes both into his home to care for them.
