About
In the 23rd century, teenager Johnny Rico joins the Mobile Infantry during Earth's interstellar war with the insectoid Arachnids.
In the 23rd century, Earth is governed by the United Citizen Federation, a world government at war with an alien species known as the Arachnids, or Bugs. Humans travel between stars and conduct colonization missions, which bring them into conflict with the insectoid creatures.
Teenage Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) enlists in the Mobile Infantry against his parents' objections to stay close to his girlfriend, spaceship pilot Carmen Ibañez (Denise Richards). Their friend Carl Jenkins (Neil Patrick Harris) joins military intelligence, while Isabelle 'Dizzy' Flores (Dina Meyer), who is in love with Rico, deliberately transfers to his squad.
