About
An American teacher left at the altar in Italy takes his prepaid honeymoon alone, meets married couples and a café owner named Gia.
Matt Taylor (Kevin James), an American elementary-school art teacher, has spent years saving for an Italian wedding and honeymoon. In a church in Italy, his fiancée Heather (Julie Ann Emery) leaves him at the altar with a note saying she is not ready for marriage. Unable to find her or reach her by phone, and with his bookings non-refundable, Matt follows his hotel concierge’s advice and takes the trip alone. On the honeymoon package he meets Meghan (Alyson Hannigan) and Julian (Kim Coates), a couple who have divorced and remarried each other, and Neil (Jonathan Roumie) and Donna (Julee Cerda). In the café Da Gia, caffé del sole he meets its owner, Gia (Nicole Grimaudo), who offers to teach him Italian and show him around the city. Andrea Bocelli appears as himself.
