About
Bruno Santamaría Razo reconstructs his Mexico City childhood, where eleven-year-old Bruno develops feelings for his best friend while his father is diagnosed with HIV.
In Mexico City in the early nineties, Bruno Santamaría Razo returns to his childhood by rebuilding his family home and having actors reenact his memories. Jade Reyes plays Bruno, who turns eleven in a free-spirited household; Sofía Espinosa is Diana and Gabino Rodríguez is Mundo. Bruno is discovering his feelings for his best friend Vladimir, while his father's HIV diagnosis hangs over the family. His real mother visits the set and sees family photographs with actors' faces, opening a conversation between past and present. The film mixes reconstruction and memory as Bruno looks back on the time he was exploring his sexuality and the virus was changing life outside and inside his family.
