About
A nobleman's daughter dreams of a stage career while her showgirl friend longs for an education, and both are London-bound.
Anni von Aspen (Anny Ondra), daughter of a noble household, is set on becoming a dancer. She models herself on her friend Susi Hille (Mary Parker), who performs as a showgirl at the city revue theatre. Susi, however, dislikes her profession and would rather learn something respectable and become a teacher; she keeps dancing for the sake of her father, who works as a stoker at the theatre. Baron von Aspen (Gaston Jacquet) is anything but pleased with his temperamental daughter's career plans and intends to send Anni to a girls' boarding school for higher daughters in London. At the same time, Susi also travels to the British capital to refine her dancing.
