Romeo and Juliet is a recording of The Royal Ballet's production of Kenneth MacMillan's ballet, made at Covent Garden in London in July 1984. It sets Shakespeare's story of the love between Romeo and Juliet to music by Prokofiev. Wayne Eagling dances Romeo and Alessandra Ferri dances Juliet. The cast also includes David Drew as Tybalt, Stephen Jeffries as Mercutio, Mark Freeman as Benvolio, Julian Hosking as Paris, Leslie Edwards as Prince Escalus and Gerd Larsen as Juliet's Nurse. The performance presents the meeting of Romeo and Juliet and the feuds around them through dance.
