About
A cursed Emishi prince journeys west and becomes caught between forest gods, a wolf-raised girl and an iron town.
Set in Muromachi-era Japan, Princess Mononoke follows Ashitaka, a young Emishi prince voiced by Yoji Matsuda. When a demon boar god attacks his village, Ashitaka is left with a cursed arm. He travels west to find a cure and uncover the source of the creature's hatred.
On his journey he meets San, a young human woman raised by wolves and voiced by Yuriko Ishida, and Lady Eboshi, the leader of an iron town, voiced by Yuko Tanaka. Ashitaka becomes involved in the conflict between the forest of the gods and the town, and in the feud between San and Lady Eboshi.
