Portret van een dochter is a documentary by Hannah Swart. In midwinter in northeast Friesland, she explores what it means to be a maker by making portraits with her father. He is the painter Hans Arnout Swart, who starts painting again after years. He paints the neighbours his daughter grew up among, while she records the process on film. Together they look for an unprejudiced way of seeing the world, despite sadness, fears and uncertainties. The film runs 30 minutes.
