About

A documentary inside the Orchestre de Paris, where conductor Klaus Mäkelä and the musicians make music together.

Nous, l'Orchestre is a documentary about the Orchestre de Paris and the way its musicians play together as one. For the first time, cameras and microphones move among the orchestra, following the players as they make music together under conductor Klaus Mäkelä. The members work together over years and, as a group, contribute to something larger than themselves. Klaus Mäkelä appears as himself, as does Herbert Blomstedt, and the Orchestre de Paris is seen as an ensemble. Directed by Philippe Béziat, the film stays close to the musicians and to the music as it is being made.
