About
Nonna follows Rosa, who runs a bed and breakfast alone in southern Italy while her children and grandchildren live in Germany.
Rosa lives alone in southern Italy in a house she and her husband built after more than three decades as guest workers in Germany. Since her husband died, she has run a two-story bed and breakfast there on her own, and the place has seen better days. Her days are shaped by hard work and disappointment; the work does not get easier as she grows older. Her children and grandchildren still live in Germany. Video calls keep her connected to them, though the distance is great and the connection is often poor.
