About
A West Texas hunter takes a briefcase of cash from a drug deal, and a hitman comes looking for it while a sheriff follows.
In 1980 in the West Texas desert, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) is hunting when he comes across the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong. He finds heroin in a truck and a briefcase containing $2 million in cash, and takes the briefcase home. That night he returns with water for a wounded man he had seen there. He sees armed men on a ridge and escapes by diving into a river. Afterwards he sends his wife, Carla Jean (Kelly Macdonald), to stay with her mother.
The hitman Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) is arrested in Texas and escapes. He comes looking for the money, while local sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) is on his trail.
