About
In 1980s South Korea, detectives Park Doo-man and Seo Tae-yoon hunt a serial killer targeting women in Hwaseong, while their methods clash.
In the autumn of 1986, in a rural province of South Korea, the bodies of women who have been raped and killed are discovered. The local police are unprepared for a case of this scale. Detective Park Doo-man (Song Kang-ho) and Detective Seo Tae-yoon (Kim Sang-kyung) lead the search for the unknown perpetrator, later called the Hwaseong Killer. Park works with Detective Cho Yong-koo (Kim Roi-ha), and their methods clash with Seo's more careful approach. The investigation focuses on a series of attacks on women in Hwaseong in the late 1980s. As more victims are found, the detectives try to find a pattern while the pressure on the force grows.
