About
In the 1980s, a father gives his wife's weight the blame for his setbacks, and the arguments weigh on the family.
It is the 1980s, and Ela is growing up in a small town in West Germany. Her father, Werner, holds her mother Cornelia's body weight responsible for the setbacks he experiences at work and in society. The arguments about this increasingly weigh on the family's life together. Werner decides that Cornelia has to lose weight. Cornelia suffers under the situation, while Ela finds herself caught between her parents. The story is told from the daughter's perspective. The film is based on Daniela Dröscher's novel. Rosalie Thomass plays Cornelia, Golo Euler plays Werner and Elise Lindner plays Ela.
