About
In 1928 Paris, a grieving painter who has lost his inspiration seeks contact with his dead wife through a carnival worker posing as a clairvoyant.
In Paris in 1928, painter Antoine Balestro (Pio Marmaï) has stopped working since the death of his wife Irène (Vimala Pons), a loss he blames himself for. He has turned to alcohol and one night tries to reach Irène through a psychic. Suzanne (Anaïs Demoustier), a carnival worker who has slipped in only to steal food, pretends to be a clairvoyant for him. Antoine’s art dealer Armand (Gilles Lellouche) wants his client to paint again and persuades Suzanne to continue the act by settling her debts. She stages séances on the spot, claiming to channel Irène.
