About
A green Christmas-hating Grinch living above Whoville meets young Cindy Lou Who, who begins to question his monstrous reputation.
High above Whoville, in a cave on Mount Crumpit, lives the Grinch (Jim Carrey), a green creature who despises Christmas and the cheerful Whos below. As the town prepares for its most important holiday, young Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) encounters him at the post office. Startled, she falls into the mail-sorting machine, and the Grinch saves her, though he refuses to admit it. Despite his bad temper and frightening appearance, Cindy begins to wonder whether he is really the monster everyone says he is. The townsfolk later consider naming the Grinch their Holiday Cheermeister, a plan that Mayor Augustus Maywho (Jeffrey Tambor) and his aide Whobris (Clint Howard) object to.
