About
A man from the future gathers a precise mix of Los Angeles diner patrons to stop a rogue artificial intelligence from destroying humanity.
At a Norms diner in Los Angeles, a dishevelled stranger (Sam Rockwell) says he has come from the future, where artificial superintelligence wiped out humanity. He believes a particular mix of customers in the diner can stop the AI from being created, and this is his 117th attempt to find that mix. Announcing that he has a bomb, he presses several diners into joining him: Susan (Juno Temple), Scott (Asim Chaudhry), Marie (Georgia Goodman) and the teachers Mark and Janet (Michael Peña and Zazie Beetz). Susan and Ingrid (Haley Lu Richardson) volunteer; he turns Ingrid down at first, then changes his mind. The group sets out on a one-night quest.
