About

A documentary set in Goma, where the M23 rebels take the city in January 2025, showing a generation living with decades of war.

Enough Is Enough is a documentary by Elisé Sawasawa set in Goma, the capital of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In January 2025 the city falls to the M23 rebels; it takes four days for them to overcome the Congolese army and troops from several African countries, with the UN mission MONUSCO present nearby. The film follows life in a region shaped by decades of war and mineral conflicts, with civilians bearing the violence. People carry their belongings along the road as aid vehicles pass and heavy artillery is heard. Sawasawa shows exhausted displaced people, the role of MONUSCO and the exploitation of mineral resources. Eliane Feza, Moses Sawasawa and Francis Zihindula Milindwa appear as themselves.
