About
Emil's pranks keep Lönneberga busy, and at an auction he takes on responsibility for the runt of a piglet litter.
Emil Svensson (Jan Ohlsson) lives with his sister Ida (Lena Wisborg), his parents Anton and Alma (Allan Edwall and Emy Storm), farmhand Alfred (Björn Gustafson) and maid Lina (Maud Hansson) in Lönneberga. His pranks keep the village busy, from painting Ida's face to drunk animals on the farm and his attempts to treat Lina's toothache. In this third film based on Astrid Lindgren's books, Emil travels with Anton, Alfred and Lina to an auction in Backhorva, where he earns money as a gate boy. At the auction his father buys a fat sow and a stubborn cow, and Emil takes on responsibility for a piglet that is the runt of the litter.
