About
A documentary follows unconventional undertaker Eric Wrede and his team in Germany as they seek a more open, empathetic approach to death and grief.
Eric Wrede is an unconventional undertaker in Germany. Together with his team, he wants to change how society deals with death and grief: less reticence, more honesty and more empathy. The documentary accompanies Eric Wrede and his team and moves between crematoria, living rooms full of memories and conversations with mourners. The team aims to treat the deceased with respect and relatives with empathy, and to open new ways of grief work. Eric Wrede appears as himself; the cast also includes Katja Seydel, Gabi Kohn, Siv-Marie Wrede and Maria Schuster as themselves.
